Notes
As a consequence of the lorry crash on the 31 January 1948 during the transport to the exhibition at Galerie Maurs1 the colours of this work were according to the statement of the damages "altogether mixed"2. This pastel is apparently one of those works which were selected at the very last moment for the exhibition as it is not listed in the catalogue.3
